They way it effortlessly cleaned up the rust I was amazed and will be a lifelong fan.
As a regular Car Restorer, I usually buy new fixings.
Consequently I have a mountain of unwanted Imperial size fixings. Apart from rusty & dirty, there is little wrong with them.
I soaked a load in spray paint thinners to degrease them, let them drain allowing any excess thinners to evaporate.
I then soaked them overnight. The result was impressive. Although not a shiny bright zinc finish, the items were a clean but dull grey finish.
Wary they may āflash off ā with rust I made a shallow bath of very thin machine oil.
I ensured the oil covered everything. Then I wiped the excess off with an old rag, thereby leaving a very thin film of oil on my newly de- rusted fixings.
Time will tell if they rust. The initial results for removing rust was impressive .
The ingredients are safe and eco-friendly. Very satisfied.
